One day before the "HelloKittyCloud 500" file surfaced, HEROIC analysts found a related stealer log called "HelloKittyCloud 222," uploaded to the same Telegram source on 18-Apr-2024. Researchers confirmed the file exposed 4,691 records, each combining an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL of the site the login belongs to.

What HEROIC Analysts Found in the HelloKittyCloud 222 File

Reviewing the file, analysts noted the same pattern seen across this entire batch of logs: credentials captured directly from infected devices, with no encryption protecting the passwords. Each entry is a complete, working login rather than a partial or scrambled record, making the data immediately usable by anyone who obtains it.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the sites each login was captured from

Why This Matters

Analysts point out that even a smaller file like this one, at 4,691 records, can cause real harm if affected users reused passwords elsewhere. Attackers routinely run automated tools that test leaked email and password pairs against popular banking, email, and social media sites, a technique known as credential stuffing.

How This Stealer Log Was Assembled

Based on its structure, HEROIC analysts believe this file was built the same way as most stealer logs: malware installed on victims' devices quietly collected saved browser passwords and autofill data, then exported everything into a single file alongside the site URL for each login before it was uploaded to Telegram.
