HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log that surfaced on Telegram on November 26, 2023, uploaded by an unidentified user under the label "HelloKittyCloud 604." The file contained 6,665 individual records, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the sites those credentials unlock. Unlike a typical corporate breach, this data came directly from malware running on infected computers, most of them located in the United States.

Why This Is Dangerous for U.S. Users

Because the infected machines were concentrated in the United States, this log gives attackers a ready-made target list of American accounts. Each entry pairs a real login page with the exact password typed into it. There is no guesswork involved. An attacker can open the URL, enter the email and password, and be logged in within seconds.

This is what seperates stealer logs from most other breach types. The data is not hashed, scrambled, or partially redacted. It is the literal text a person typed on their keyboard, captured the moment they typed it.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs tied to each set of credentials

Why This Matters

Every credential pair in this log can be tested against banking portals, email providers, and shopping accounts across the country. Because so many people reuse the same password everywhere, one stolen login often unlocks several unrelated accounts. This is the exact mechanic behind credential stuffing attacks, and it is a common early step toward full account takeover and identity theft.

Financial fraud tends to follow quickly once an attacker confirms a working login, especially if the account is tied to a payment method or stored personal information.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer logs come from infostealer malware, a type of program quietly installed on a victim's computer, often bundled inside a cracked game, fake software installer, or malicious email attachment. Once running, the malware scans the browser's saved passwords, active login sessions, and autofill data, then quietly sends everything back to the attacker. The victim usually has no idea anything happened untill their accounts start acting strange.

These logs are then packaged and sold or shared for free in Telegram channels like the one where this file surfaced, making them cheap and easy for even low-skill attackers to obtain.
