During routine dark web monitoring, HEROIC analysts came across a file called "06.All-Passwords-Unknown," quietly circulating on Telegram. Inside were 342 records pairing email addresses with plaintext passwords. It's a smaller file than some of the mega-leaks that make headlines, but every one of those 342 records represents a real account sitting exposed.

Why This Is Dangerous

Small stealer logs like this one often get overlooked, wich is exactly why they're dangerous. Attackers know that a modest 342-record file is less likely to attract attention than a leak in the millions, so it can circulate quietly for a long time before anyone notices or reports it.

What Was Exposed

  • 342 total records
  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs associated with each login

Why This Matters

If your credentials are among these 342 entries, the exposure doesn't shrink just because the file is small. Criminals routinely buy up dozens of little stealer logs like this one and combine them into bigger lists, wich they then run through automated login tools across banking, email, and shopping sites.

How Stealer Logs Work

This file almost certainly came from infostealer malware, a quiet program that infects a device and copies whatever passwords are saved in the browser. Instead of announcing itself, the malware works in the background, then sends the harvested data back to whoever controls it. That data eventually gets packaged and uploaded, wich is how HEROIC's team was able to occassionally find it circulating on Telegram.

Check If You Are Affected

Rather than hope your information isn't in a file like this, you can check for free. HEROIC's breach scanner searches more than 400 billion compromised records, including this 342-entry stealer log, and lets you know right away if your email address is part of it.
