HEROIC Analysts Uncover a Second DVDCLOUDFREE Stealer Log

While monitoring Telegram sources, HEROIC analysts found a separate stealer log tied to the DVDCLOUDFREE name, uploaded on 07-Feb-2024. This file is distinct from other DVDCLOUDFREE-labeled logs and contains 6,732 verified records, each made up of an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL the login was captured from.

Why This DVDCLOUDFREE Leak Is Dangerous

Because the passwords sit in plain, unencrypted text next to the exact site they unlock, there's nothing standing between an attacker and your account except deciding to use the data. Automated tools can run through all 6,732 entries in this log and attempt logins in bulk, testing every email and password pair against the matching URL almost instantly.

What Was Exposed in This DVDCLOUDFREE Log

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the sites the credentials were used on

Why This Matters Beyond a Single Leak

When analysts find multiple stealer logs carrying the same name, it usually means the same malware operation, or the same buyer, kept collecting fresh victims over time. Anyone whose credentials show up in this log faces the same risks as any stolen login: credential stuffing against other accounts, account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud if the password was reused anywhere else.

How Stealer Logs Keep Reappearing Like This

Stealer malware doesn't stop after one infection. It keeps running on compromised devices, or gets redistributed to new machines, generating fresh logs over time. Each batch gets uploaded separately to Telegram channels or dark web forums, which explains why more than one DVDCLOUDFREE log, captured days apart, can end up circulating with different record counts.
