HEROIC Analysts Link "Cloud_Rolex_2" to 19,704 Stolen Credentials
HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file called "Cloud_Rolex_2" that was uploaded to a Telegram channel on August 22, 2025. The file contained 19,704 records pulled directly from infected devices, pairing email addresses with plaintext passwords and the URLs of the accounts those credentials belong to.
Why This Is Dangerous
Because the passwords in this log are stored in plaintext, anyone who obtains the file can use them immediately. Matched with the correct email address and the URL of the account it unlocks, an attacker needs no cracking tools and no guesswork to gain access.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- Account and login URLs
Why This Matters
Because so many people reuse the same password across multiple accounts, a single exposed plaintext password can unlock email, banking, and social media accounts far beyond the one it was originally tied to. Attackers use logs like this for credential stuffing, testing the exposed email and password pairs against other popular services. That reuse is exactly what turns a leak like this into account takeover, financial fraud, and identity theft.
How Stealer Logs Work
Stealer logs are produced by infostealer malware, which infects a device and quietly copies saved browser passwords, autofill entries, and session data before sending them to the attacker operating it. The stolen data is then bundled into files like "Cloud_Rolex_2" and distributed through channels such as Telegram. Because the malware collects credentials directly from the device, one log can expose access to many unrelated accounts and services at the same time.
