Hotmail Fresh B4_Jx Data Quietly Surfaces: 4,916 Accounts Exposed

On May 22, 2026, HEROIC analysts came across a stealer log named "Hotmail Fresh B4_Jx" that had been uploaded by a Telegram user to a channel trading in stolen credentials. There was no announcement and no fanfare, just a file with 4,916 records quietly added to a growing pile of similar leaks. Each record pairs an email address with a plaintext password and the URL where that password was used.

Why This Is Dangerous

Because the file surfaced without drawing attention, many of the 4,916 people in it likely have no idea their credentials are circulating. The passwords are stored in plaintext, so anyone who finds the file can read them exactly as typed, and the paired URLs tell an attacker exactly where to try each one.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses (Hotmail accounts)
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs showing where each password was used

Why This Matters

With almost 5,000 accounts in this file, the scale is large enough that automated tools can test every credential against dozens of other websites within minutes, a technique known as credential stuffing. Anyone who reused a password elsewhere is at risk well beyond the sites listed in this specific log, and a compromised Hotmail inbox can also expose other accounts that rely on it for password recovery.

How Quiet Leaks Like This Happen

Stealer logs are built by malware running silently on infected devices, harvesting saved browser passwords and anything typed into login forms without any visible warning to the victim. The stolen data is bundled together and uploaded to file-sharing channels on Telegram, often without any public notice beyond the upload itself. That quiet distribution is exactly why so many of these leaks go unnoticed by the people affected until it is too late.
