What Hackers Can Do With the 144 Hotmail Logins Just Leaked

The file contains 144 records, each made up of an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL the login was captured from, pointing to a batch focused specifically on Hotmail-linked accounts.

What Attackers Can Do With This Hotmail Log

Because a Hotmail or Outlook inbox is often the account tied to password resets for banking, shopping, and social media logins, gaining access to one of these 144 accounts can hand an attacker a way into much more than email. With a plaintext password and the exact site URL in hand, an attacker can log straight into the inbox, search for old password reset emails, and use that access to take over other accounts linked to the same address.
