It started the way most stealer log leaks do: malware sitting quietly on someone's computer, copying every password saved in the browser. On June 10, 2026, a Telegram user packaged up one of these logs and uploaded it publicly, and inside were 1,266 records tied to prodigy.net.au, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs those logins connected to.

Why This Prodigy.net.au Leak Is Dangerous

Once that file was posted, anyone who found it had immediate, ready-to-use access to every credential inside. There was no password hash to crack and no waiting period. Because the passwords were captured in plaintext, whoever grabbed this log could start testing logins the same day it appeared, and any of the 1,266 people who reused a password elsewhere put those other accounts at risk too.

What Was Exposed in the Prodigy.net.au Data Set

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • The URLs tied to each login

Why This Matters

Here is how the rest usually plays out: attackers load stolen email and password pairs into automated tools and run them against dozens of other websites, a method known as credential stuffing. When a match hits, it leads straight to account takeover. From there, identity theft and financial fraud follow quickly, particularly if the same password unlocks an email or banking account.

How This Stealer Log Made It to Telegram

The process behind a leak like this is simple and largely automated. Infostealer malware infects a device, often through a fake download or a malicious attachment, then quietly harvests every saved password, cookie, and autofill entry it can find. That data gets compiled into a log file, and logs like this one regularly end up traded or dumped on Telegram channels dedicated to exactly this. This did not happen because prodigy.net.au was hacked. It happened because a device used to log into that site was infected.
