HUNTER_CLOUD Leak Means 5,974 Accounts Are Ready to Steal
HEROIC identified the fourth batch in the HUNTER_CLOUD VIP Logs series on Telegram, released in July 2026. This Part 4 collection contains 5,974 records, each exposing an email address alongside a plaintext password and the URL of the service where the credentials were originally captured. Across all four parts, the HUNTER_CLOUD operation has now released tens of thousands of stolen credentials into the open.
Plaintext Storage Means These Accounts Can Be Stolen Now
None of the 5,974 passwords in this batch have any form of cryptographic protection. They are stored in plaintext, meaning they appear in the dump exactly as each person originally typed them. An attacker does not need to invest any time or computing resources into cracking these credentials. They are ready for use the moment the file is opened, putting every associated account at immediate risk of unauthorized login.
What Was Exposed
- Email Addresses — the primary authentication handle for online accounts everywhere
- Plaintext Passwords — credentials stored with zero encryption, ready for immediate abuse
- URLs — direct links to the services where each stolen credential was used
Every Reused Password Is a Door Left Open
Credential stuffing attacks are the primary follow-up threat after a dump like this is released. Attackers feed the 5,974 email-password combinations into automated tools that try each pair against banking portals, email services, e-commerce sites, and corporate login pages. The success rate is consistently high because password reuse remains one of the most common security weaknesses among internet users. One match can spiral into a complete account takeover across multiple platforms.
The HUNTER_CLOUD Malware Pipeline
The data in this fourth batch was stolen by infostealer malware operating on compromised devices. HUNTER_CLOUD functions as a distribution channel for credentials harvested through these infections. The malware typically infiltrates devices via phishing links, trojanized applications, or malicious browser extensions. It then exports saved browser passwords, autofill data, and session cookies to remote servers. The aggregated data is split into numbered parts and published sequentially through the HUNTER_CLOUD Telegram channel.
Check If Your Credentials Were Exposed
With four batches now released from HUNTER_CLOUD, the total exposure is substantial. Use the HEROIC data breach scanner to search more than 400 billion compromised records and check whether your email or password appears in this Part 4 release, any other HUNTER_CLOUD batch, or any other known breach. If your credentials are found, replace them with unique, strong passwords for each service and activate two-factor authentication to add an essential barrier against unauthorized access.
