HEROIC analysts flagged the Innolife breach while reviewing South Korean media platform datasets that surfaced in August 2018. The incident exposed 41,796 user records from a news and media portal, and what made it stand out was the severity of the security failure: passwords were stored in plaintext with no hashing whatsoever.
