Collected June 7, Released September 26: The Anatomy of a 3.5-Month Hold

JUNE 7 - 4121 LOGS wasn't released the day it was collected. The collection date embeded in the batch name -- June 7, 2023 -- sits nearly four months before the September 26, 2023 Telegram upload. During that gap, 86,386 plaintext credentials harvested from 4,121 compromised devices sat in an operator's inventory, waiting for the right moment to flood the market.

JUNE 7 - 4121 LOGS (September 2023): Breach Summary

  • Records Exposed: 86,386
  • Data Types: Usernames, plaintext passwords, endpoint URLs, API hosts
  • Breach Type: Stealer log
  • Date Leaked: September 26, 2023

The June 7 Collection Date and What It Reveals

When stealer log operators name batches with collection dates, they're providing a timestamp that reveals both when infections occurred and how long material was held before release. JUNE 7 - 4121 LOGS tells us 4,121 devices were compromised on or around June 7, 2023 -- and that the operator held this material for approximately 112 days before uploading to Telegram.

That holding period is significant. It means that from June 7 onward, the 86,386 credentials in this batch were potentially available to the collecting operator -- used for targeted attacks, sold privately, or simply warehoused -- before becoming widely accessible in the underground market on September 26. Victims had no way of knowing they were exposed during that 3.5-month window.

86,386 Records Across 4,121 Devices: The Scale of This Batch

At 86,386 records across 4,121 compromised devices, JUNE 7 - 4121 LOGS averages roughly 21 credentials per endpoint -- a solid yield suggesting these were active, regularly used machines with substantial saved credential stores. For stealer log operations, this kind of per-device yield is a marker of quality: it means each infected machine was contributing meaningfully to the aggregate haul, not just adding a handful of logins.

This is also one of two JUNE 7 batches that hit Telegram during the September 26 cluster. Its companion -- JUNE 7 - 4211 LOGS -- released 76,622 records from a diferent collection run. Combined, the two JUNE 7 batches account for over 163,000 records across more than 8,000 devices, making them among the largest contributions to the September 26-27 clearing event.

The September 26 Cluster and the Batch-and-Hold Model

JUNE 7 - 4121 LOGS is one of more than a dozen named batches that dropped in the 48-hour window of September 26-27, 2023. The simultaneous release of material collected across diferent dates -- June 7, May 4, May 5 -- in the same narrow window is the clearest evidence of a coordinated clearing event. Operators from different channels, holding different inventory, all chose this window to release.

The batch-and-hold model this represents is deliberate. Private access to fresh credentials has value; widely released credentials lose exclusivity but gain reach. By releasing in a coordinated wave, operators maximize both visibility and the chaos of simultaneous credential exposure -- making it harder for platforms and security teams to respond before credentials are widely distributed.
