HEROIC analysts identified a 2015 data breach tied to LaptopMania, a UK based ecommerce platform, that exposed 4,047 accounts. The compromised records include email addresses, first and last names, and password hashes secured with MD5.

Why This Is Dangerous

MD5 is an aging hashing algorithm that can be cracked relatively quickly with modern computing power, especially for common passwords.
