Our Analysts Found the LOGSYNC Genesis_cloud Dump in a Private Telegram Channel
HEROIC analysts discovered a stealer log file circulating on a public Telegram channel on May 25, 2025. The file, uploaded under the label LOGSYNC - Genesis_cloud 2847count, contained 119,894 records harvested from compromised devices. Our team identified the dump during routine monitoring of threat channels and confirmed the data includes real plaintext passwords, email addresses, and the URLs of services those credentails were used on. At nearly 120,000 records, this is one of the larger single-upload stealer log dumps we have cataloged from that period.
Why This Is Dangerous
A dump of this size gives attackers an enormous pool of ready-to-use credentials. There is no cracking required because the passwords are already in plaintext. Criminals who obtained this file can immediately begin testing logins across major platforms including email providers, banks, and corporate tools. The inclusion of URLs tells them exactly which services each credential belongs to, making attacks faster and more targeted than a generic credential list.
What Was Exposed
- Email Addresses
- Plaintext Passwords
- URLs (websites and API endpoints the credentials were used on)
Why This Matters
With 119,894 exposed credentials, the LOGSYNC - Genesis_cloud dump represents significant fuel for credential stuffing campaigns. Automated bots can run through this entire dataset against dozens of popular websites in a matter of hours. For anyone whose data appears here, account takeover is a realistic and immediate threat. That can lead to identity theft, unauthorised purchases, and financal fraud if attackers gain access to payment methods or sensitive personal information.
How Stealer Logs Work
Infostealer malware installs silently on a victim's computer through phishing emails, fake software downloads, or malicious browser extensions. Once running, it harvests everything the browser has stored: saved passwords, session cookies, autofill data, and a log of visited URLs. All of that gets bundled into a structured log file and transmitted back to the attacker's server. The attacker then either sells the file or uploads it to a Telegram channel for distribution. Whoever subscribes to or monitors that channel can download the log and immediately begin using the stolen data. The original victem almost never knows their device was compromised.
