In June 2023, a threat actor distributed a stealer log file called mellodylogs_bot - 772 pcs through Telegram, leaking 11,474 records stolen from infected devices. Each record in this file is a loaded weapon: a plaintext password, the email account it belongs to, and the exact URL of the service it accesses. When a single set of credentials unlocks your email account, the chain reaction that follows can compromise every other account tied to that inbox -- banking, social media, cloud storage, and more.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer logs create a cascade risk that most people underestimate. Your email address is the master key to your digital identity. If attackers gain access to your inbox using credentials from the mellodylogs_bot log, they can immediately trigger password resets on every service linked to that email -- your bank, your streaming accounts, your work systems, and your social media profiles. They do not need to crack anything. The log already contains plaintext passwords ready for immediate use, along with the specific URLs that reveal exactly which services are at stake.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses -- the gateway to reseting and taking over every connected account
  • Plaintext Passwords -- usable immediately, no decryption or cracking needed
  • URLs -- a map of every service and platform linked to each stolen credential

Why This Matters

The mellodylogs_bot log has been in criminal circulaton since June 2023 -- over three years by now. Data like this does not disappear after the initial upload. It gets resold, repackaged, and merged into larger credential databases that attackers use for years. If any password exposed in this log is still active anywhere in your accounts today, you remain vulnerable. Password reuse across services is the single biggest reason one small stealer log can trigger a wide-scale account takeover across an entire digital life.

How Stealer Logs Work

Information-stealing malware such as RedLine, Vidar, or Lumma Stealer infects devices silently through phishing emails, cracked software, or malicious browser extensoins. Once installed, it records every username and password entered into a browser along with the URL of the site. These credential bundles are packaged into log files and distributed through Telegram channels or dark web forums within hours of infection. The malware often persists undetected for weeks or months, meaning the infected device may have continued leaking credentials long after the initial capture.

Check If You Are Affected

HEROIC's free scanner checks your email against a database of over 400 billion exposed records -- including the mellodylogs_bot stealer log. Because chained account takeover can begin the moment an attacker accesses your email, speed matters. Run a free scan now to discover if your credentials are exposed and take immediate action to secure your accounts before the chain reactoin starts.
