Not every leak comes from one company or one email provider. The file labeled "5.044 lines mixed," posted to Telegram on June 19, 2025, pulled together 5,036 verified records from a whole mix of sources, everyday accounts belonging to everyday people rather than customers of a single targeted service.

Why This Is Dangerous

A "mixed" file like this one is dangerous precisely because it isn't tied to a single brand people can search for and worry about. Instead, it's a grab bag of whatever an infected device happened to have saved, which means the accounts affected range across email providers, retail sites, streaming services, and anything else the victims had logged into.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses drawn from a wide range of everyday accounts
  • Plaintext passwords with no encryption protecting any of them
  • URLs marking exactly which site or service each login belongs to

Why This Matters

Because the accounts in a mixed log come from so many different places, there's no single company that can send out a breach notification to warn the people affected. That responsibility quietly falls on individuals to check for themselves, and most never think to, occassionally assuming incorrectly that a company will notify them if something went wrong, wich leaves a lot of exposed passwords sitting untouched and usable for months or years.

How a "Mixed" Log Comes Together

These files are compiled from stealer malware that doesn't discriminate about which websites it targets. It simply copies every saved login in a browser's password manager, regardless of what kind of account it belongs to, then bundles the entire haul, banking sites and gaming forums alike, into one combined file for whoever operates the malware.

Check If You Are Affected

You don't need to know which specific site the leak traces back to in order to check whether you're affected. HEROIC's free scanner searches your email against more than 400 billion (400B+) leaked records from breaches and mixed stealer logs alike. If your address turns up a match, change that password immediately and check any other account using the same one.
