One File, One Telegram Upload, 4,468 Exposed Credentials

HEROIC analysts traced a combolist file named "MIXED1" back to October 2024, though it continues to circulate on Telegram today. The file holds 4,468 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and a linked URL. Nearly two years after the credentials were first compiled, this single file is still being passed around, which means the exposure has never really gone away for the people in it.

Why This Is Dangerous

Because the 4,468 passwords in this file are stored in plaintext, anyone who downloads it can read every credential instantly. The fact that this list has aged for close to two years does not make it safe. Attackers regularly recycle older combolists precisely because many people never change the passwords tied to accounts they have forgotten about.

Why This Matters

A file like MIXED1 gives attackers everything needed to attempt credential stuffing at scale, feeding all 4,468 email and password pairs into automated login tools aimed at email providers, banking portals, and retail sites. Anyone still using the exposed password anywhere is exposed to account takeover, financial fraud, or identity theft, regardless of how long ago the data was first compiled.

How a Combolist Like MIXED1 Keeps Circulating

Combolists are text files listing stolen credentials in an "email:password" format, usually assembled from older breaches, phishing pages, and malware logs. Once uploaded to Telegram, a file like this gets copied, renamed, and reshared across channels for years, which is exactly why a 2024 combolist can still be actively traded well into 2026.

Check If You Are Affected

HEROIC's free breach scanner checks your email address against more than 400 billion leaked records, including older combolists like MIXED1 that are still in circulation. If your email turns up, changing that password now closes an exposure that may have been sitting open for years.
