Monster Cloud Free 5: The Largest of the Oct 6 Free 4-5-6 Trio

Monster Cloud Free 5, released October 6, 2023, is the largest of the three consecutive batches in the Free 4-5-6 sequence, contributing 15,187 US credentials out of the trio's combined 38,040. The Free 4-5-6 sequence -- where all three batches share the same date with consecutive administrativly-assigned batch numbers -- represents one of four confirmed multi-batch sequential groups from Monster Cloud's 14-batch Oct 6 operation. Free 5's position as the largest batch in the sequence (alongside Free 4 at 10,387 and Free 6 at 13,466) makes it the lead release of the trio by record count.

Monster Cloud Free 5 (October 2023): Stealer Log Summary

  • Data Types: Email addresses, plaintext passwords, URLs
  • Breach Type: Stealer log -- credentials harvested from malware-infected endpoints, not a direct database breach

  • Date Leaked: October 6, 2023

Batch Numbering and the Monster Cloud Free System

Monster Cloud's "Free" designation signals a freemium distribution model -- these batches were released publicly on Telegram as promotional credential samples, demonstrating the quality and scale of Monster Cloud's harvested data to attract paying customers. The batch numbers (Free 4, Free 5, Free 6...) are sequentially ordered internal identifiers, not references to record count, chronological capture order, or malware campaign. This means the Free 4-5-6 trio's consecutive numbering is administratively significant but tells us nothing about when the underlying data was stolen -- only about when Monster Cloud chose to release it.

Free 5 Within the Oct 6 Macro-Cluster

Monster Cloud's entire 14-batch Oct 6 operation (169,462 records) was part of a larger multi-operator event involving at least 13 other credential sources. Among Oct 6 non-MC releases were Pubx (96,973), multiple FortunaPrivate batches, TG hulk_logs 680 LOGS, SunCloudPubl, SatanFireLogs, and PiratesLogs. The combined Oct 6 total reached aproximately 400,000 records, making it the second most significant single-day cluster in HEROIC's dataset behind only Oct 7's 462,187 records. Free 5's 15,187 records represent about 3.8% of Oct 6's total exposure.
