In November 2023, a Telegram user uploaded a stealer log file under the name MOONLOGSFREE 519pcs, exposing 7,512 records containing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and API host URLs. HEROIC analysts first identified the dump shortly after it appeared on a private Telegram channel. In the weeks that followed, the data began spreading to more widely accessible breach forums -- a pattern that is common with stealer logs and means the window between initial exposure and broad criminal access is often much shorter than victims realise. The data collected in November 2023 is still circulating today.

Why the MOONLOGSFREE Dump Is Dangerous

The timeline is part of what makes this breach particularly concerning. Stealer logs do not expire. Once a set of plaintext passwords is uploaded to Telegram, it gets copied, redistributed, and merged into larger datasets that persist for months or even years. The credentials in MOONLOGSFREE 519pcs were valid in November 2023 -- and any that have not been changed since then remain a live threat today. Attackers running automated credential stuffing campaigns do not care how old a dump is. They care whether the passwords still work, and plaintext credentials make that check immediatley possible without any cracking step.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • API host and endpoint URLs

Why This Matters

MOONLOGSFREE 519pcs stands out not just for its size -- 7,512 records across 519 log files -- but for the apparent targeting of API keys and development environment credentials. The presence of API host URLs suggests the malware behind this collection was specifically harvesting credentials for developer tools, internal systems, and cloud services. A single valid API key from a dump like this can give an attacker persistent access to an organisation's infrastructure that survives password resets and even account recovery. The fact that passwords appeared in cleartext is a seperate compounding problem -- no cracking, no delay, just immediate access.

How Stealer Logs Keep Circulating After the Initial Upload

When a stealer log first appears on Telegram, it is typically in a closed or semi-private channel. Within days or weeks, copies begin appearing on broader breach forums, where they are downloaded, merged into aggregated datasets, and repurposed for credential stuffing attacks. The MOONLOGSFREE dump folowed this exact trajectory -- starting in a private Telegram channel in November 2023 before spreading to more accessible platforms. Each redistribution extends the effective life of the data. Victims who changed their passwords in December 2023 are protected. Those who recieved no notification and changed nothing remain exposed. HEROIC analysts continue to monitor the redistribution of this dump across known threat actor forums and channels.
