DarkHive detected a breach from the DAISY CLOUD [NEW] Telegram channel on January 31, 2024. The stealer log release, labeled 31_JANUARY_0849_PCS_New_Password, was harvested from 849 compromised U.S. endpoints and exposed 13,050 records. The leaked data includes plaintext passwords, email addresses, and service and API host URLs captured at the time of infection. The breach date is recorded as January 31, 2024.

Why This Is Dangerous

At 849 infected devices, the January 31 DAISYCLOUD release is one of the largest device-count drops in the campaign's January run. The breadth of the device harvest means credentials from a wide range of U.S. online services appear in the exposed data. As part of the New Password series, these logs may include credentials that victims recently changed, meaning even users who updated thier passwords in late January 2024 remain at risk. Threat actors who aquire this log can use the embedded service URLs to execute precise login attempts against targeted platforms rather than relying on broad credential stuffing.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Service and API host URLs

Why This Matters

The January 31 release is one of the final drops in the DAISYCLOUD campaign's January 2024 run before it transitioned into its intensive February daily release schedule. Victims appearing in this log may also recieve exposure in seperate February drops, compounding their risk across multiple releases. The campaign's consistent output across January and into February reflects a sustained, organized infostealer operation targeting U.S. users with a reliable daily distribution pipeline.

How Stealer Log Infections Work

Infostealer malware is distributed through phishing emails, malicious software installers, and fake browser updates. Once active on a device, it silently captures stored credentials and transmits them to the operator. The DAISY CLOUD [NEW] operator archives thier harvested records into dated log files labeled with device counts and distributes them on Telegram. Victims typicaly remain unaware their credentials were captured until a breach monitoring service detects their data in a stealer log database.
