In June 2026, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file labeled "NINHO PRIVATE HOTMAIL" circulating on Telegram. The file contained 1,295 records pairing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the login URLs where those credentials were used, all harvested from infected devices rather than stolen directly from a company's servers.

Why This Is Dangerous

Because the passwords in this file were captured in plaintext, an attacker doesn't need to crack or guess anything. Each record already includes the exact email, password, and website where it was typed, meaning anyone who downloads this file can log straight into the accounts it names without any extra effort.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses tied to Hotmail and related Microsoft accounts
  • Plaintext passwords, stored and shared with no encryption
  • Login URLs showing exactly which sites each password unlocks

Why This Matters

Because email accounts are usually the recovery point for banking, shopping, and social media logins, a compromised Hotmail address can become a stepping stone to everything else tied to it. Anyone whose credentials appear in this list is at risk of account takeover and credential stuffing, where attackers try the same email and password combination across dozens of other sites.

How Stealer Log Leaks Work

A stealer log is created when malware infects a device and quietly copies saved passwords, browser autofill data, and login sessions before sending everything back to whoever controls the malware. The "NINHO PRIVATE HOTMAIL" file appears to be one of these logs, packaged and shared on Telegram so other criminals can search it for usable accounts. Unlike a traditional corporate hack, these logs come straight from the victim's own device, which is why the passwords are still readable.
