Researchers Link NINHO PRIVATE HOTMAIL to 1,613 Stolen Logins

HEROIC analysts tracking Telegram channels used for trading stolen credentials identified a stealer log called "NINHO PRIVATE HOTMAIL" on June 20, 2026. Researchers linked the file to 1,613 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the site the login was captured from. It is one of several similarly named batches researchers have connected to the same uploader over recent weeks.

Why This Is Dangerous

Analysts note that the passwords in this file are stored in plaintext, meaning anyone who obtains the file can read and use them immediately. The inclusion of the source URL for each entry removes the guesswork attackers would otherwise need to figure out where a stolen credential might work.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses (Hotmail accounts)
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs tied to each set of credentials

Why This Matters

Researchers point to 1,613 as a meaningful number of accounts for a single file, large enough that automated credential stuffing tools could test every entry against other services within minutes. A compromised Hotmail account can also expose other services that use it for password recovery, widening the impact beyond the sites named in the log.

How Analysts Trace Logs Like This One

HEROIC's research team monitors the Telegram channels where stealer logs are traded, tracking uploader patterns, naming conventions, and record counts to understand how these leaks spread. Logs like NINHO PRIVATE HOTMAIL are produced by malware harvesting saved passwords from infected devices, then packaged and distributed by the same operators repeatedly, which is how researchers are able to connect one upload to the next.
