A Telegram Combolist From May 2025 Resurfaced More Than a Year Later

HEROIC analysts identified a combolist file first leaked on Telegram in May 2025, containing 285 records of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and associated URLs. The file, labeled "Ok uploaded by a Telegram User," is tied primarily to accounts in the United States and only came to wider attention well over a year after it first appeared.

Why This Is Dangerous

Because these passwords were stored in plaintext, anyone who has this file can read and use the credentials right away, with no cracking needed. The included URLs show exactly which site each login belongs to, so an attacker can go straight to the real service and try the stolen pair immediately.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Associated website URLs

Why This Matters

A gap of more than a year between when data leaks and when it becomes widely known does not make it safer. If any of these 285 accounts still use the same password today, they remain vulnerable to credential stuffing, account takeover, and identity theft. Old leaks like this one often keep circulating quietly among attackers long after the original upload.

How This Combolist Leak Happened

A combolist is a plain text file that pairs email addresses or usernames with passwords, usually compiled from older breaches, phishing pages, or malware that harvests saved browser logins. Files like this one are frequently uploaded to Telegram, then quietly traded or resold in different channels for months or years before analysts and researchers catch up with them.

Check If You Are Affected

Since leaked credentials can sit unnoticed for a long time before causing harm, it is worth checking now. HEROIC's free breach scanner checks your email against a database of more than 400 billion leaked records, including combolists like this one. Run a free scan and update any passwords you still use elsewhere.
