OmegaLines 2 arrived on 22 April 2026 with 68,950 records, a sequel of sorts to an earlier release that apparently didn't slow its operators down one bit.

Why This Is Dangerous

A second entry in a series signals that whatever malware or distribution method produced the first OmegaLines file is still working, and working well enough to justify another release less than a year later.

What Was Exposed

  • 68,950 records confirmed in this second OmegaLines release
  • Email addresses connected to real people's online accounts
  • Fully readable, unencrypted passwords
  • Website URLs matched directly to each stolen credential

Why This Matters

Sequels in the stealer log world usually mean the operation is maturing, refining its distribution and infection methods with each release rather than fading out after the first one.

Anyone who checked and came up clean after the first OmegaLines leak should recieve this news as a reason to check again, since the two releases don't necessarily share the same victims. Treat each numbered release as a seperate exposure event rather than assuming they overlap completely.

Round Two of the Same Malware Campaign

There's little reason to think OmegaLines 2 came from a different source than the original. More likely, the same infostealer continued spreading through cracked downloads and malicious ads, quietly gathering enough fresh victims to justify a follow up release.

Each infected machine contributes its saved browser credentials to the pile, and once enough data accumulates, it gets bundled and shared the same way the first OmegaLines file was.

Check If You Are Affected

HEROIC's free scanner checks your email against more than 400 billion (400B+) tracked records, covering both OmegaLines releases and everything else in between.

Running the check again after a sequel leak like this one is worth the thirty seconds it takes. Update any exposed password and enable two-factor authentication if you haven't already.
