On 27-Sep-2025, HEROIC analysts traced a fresh stealer log dump named PixelCloud2 to a Telegram channel where it had been uploaded for free. The file held 258,720 individual records pulled from infected computers, each one pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the exact URL of the site that password unlocked.

Why the PixelCloud2 Leak Is So Dangerous

What makes this leak dangerous is not just the number of records, it is how usable they are. The passwords were never encrypted, so anyone who opens the file can copy an email and password pair and try it on the matching website within seconds.

There is no delay and no cracking step for an attacker to work through. The data is already sitting in a ready to use format the moment it is downloaded.

What Was Exposed in the PixelCloud2 Dump

  • Email addresses linked to real accounts
  • Plaintext passwords with no encryption applied
  • The URLs showing exactly which site each login was used on

Why This Matters Beyond the 258,720 Records

Password reuse is what turns a single leak into many broken accounts. Criminals feed email and password pairs like these into automated tools that quietly test them across banking sites, email inboxes, and online stores, a method known as credential stuffing.

Once one login succeeds, it often opens the door to seperate accounts too, since a hijacked email inbox can be used to reset passwords elsewhere. That chain reaction is how a stealer log leak turns into full identity theft and financial fraud.

How a Stealer Log Like PixelCloud2 Gets Made

Stealer logs come from infostealer malware, malicious software that silently infects a device, often hidden inside a cracked program, a fake update, or a suspicious attachment. Once it runs, it digs through the browser for saved passwords, autofill entries, and open login sessions.

Everything it finds is packaged into one file and named after the tool or group behind it, in this case PixelCloud2. That file is then uploaded to a Telegram channel, untill someone downloads it and, sometimes, other criminals repackage the same data under a new name.
