PIXELSCLOUD Leak of 7,554 Logins Can Chain Into More Accounts
In February 2024, HEROIC analysts flagged a stealer log named 450PCS_04.02.2024_PIXELSCLOUD circulating on Telegram. The file contained 7,554 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the login URL where the credentials were used.
The Chained Risk Behind the PIXELSCLOUD Leak
A single leaked login rarely stays contained to one account. If a person reused their email and password combination anywhere else, that one exposed record can quickly turn into several compromised accounts, each opening the door to the next.
An attacker who gains access to an email inbox, for example, can use it to request password resets for banking apps, cloud storage, and social media. In this way, one small stealer log entry can chain into a much bigger compromise than it first appears to be.
Why This Is Dangerous
Every password in this file was saved in plaintext, meaning there is no encryption to slow an attacker down. The credentials can be used exactly as they appear, immediately and without any technical effort.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- Associated login URLs
Why This Matters
This kind of data feeds directly into credential stuffing, where attackers test the same login pair across many other sites at once. When that succeeds, it results in account takeover, and from there, identity theft or financial fraud often folow as the attacker digs deeper into the victim's other accounts.
How Stealer Logs Work
Stealer malware infects a device quietly, often hidden inside a cracked program or a fake download. Once installed, it extracts saved browser passwords, cookies, and autofill details, then packages the results into a log exactly like this one.
These logs are traded or given away on Telegram channels, where each file can chain together dozens of accounts belonging to the same person, making the true impact of a leak like this far bigger than the raw record count suggests.
