HEROIC analysts identified a second stealer log file from the NINHO PRIVATE HOTMAIL collection, uploaded to Telegram on June 4, 2026. This batch exposed 770 records containing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs. Every password in this dataset was stored without any form of encryption or hashing, making them instantly usable by anyone who accesses the file.

Why Unencrypted Passwords Are the Worst-Case Scenario

When passwords appear in plaintext, there is no barrier between an attacker and your accounts. Unlike hashed or encrypted passwords that require time and computing power to crack, plaintext credentials can be copied and pasted directly into a login page. The 770 email and password pairs in this breach are ready to exploit the moment someone downloads the file. Combined with the URLs that show exactly which services each victim uses, attackers have everything they need to take over accounts immediately.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses linked to Hotmail and Microsoft services
  • Passwords stored in plaintext with zero encryption
  • URLs documenting the exact websites each user visited

Why This Fuels Credential Stuffing and Account Takeover

Attackers collect plaintext credentials from breaches like this one and load them into automated tools designed for credential stuffing. These tools test each email and password combination across dozens of popular services, including email providers, banks, social media platforms, and online retailers. Because password reuse remains widespread, a single working credential often unlocks multiple accounts. This cascade effect means 770 stolen logins can lead to thousands of compromised accounts, enabling identity theft, unauthorized purchases, and financial fraud.

How Stealer Log Malware Extracts Your Saved Passwords

Stealer log malware infiltrates devices through deceptive means, including phishing links, fake application installers, and malicious browser extensions. Once running on a victim's computer, the malware targets the browser's password manager, extracting every saved username and password. It also captures active session cookies, browsing history, and form data. The harvested information is compiled into structured log files and distributed on Telegram channels and underground forums. Because the malware captures credentials as they exist in the browser, the passwords are always in plaintext, readable format.
