In April 2024, a Telegram user uploaded a file titled Free logs from prdscloud 277logs to a public channel. The file contained 5,386 records harvested from 277 compromised devices: email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of API hosts and services those credentials were used to access. The prdscloud label suggests a cloud-focused collection, meaning many of the targeted accounts likely belong to cloud platforms, developer tools, or hosted services -- making the potential for downstream damage significently higher than a typical consumer credential dump.

Why The prdscloud 277logs Dump Is Dangerous

Cloud credentials are high-value targets. An attacker with access to a cloud account can spin up infrastructure for further attacks, exfiltrate stored data, or pivot into connected services. This log does not just contain email and password pairs -- it contains the specific API host URLs those credentials unlock. That gives attackers a precise map of what each stolen credential can access, skipping the reconnaissance phase entirely and moving straight to exploitation. With plaintext passwords, there is zero barrier to entry.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (API hosts and cloud service endpoints the stolen credentials access)

Why This Matters

A stolen cloud credential can cause harm far beyond the individual who owned the account. Attackers who gain access to cloud environments can harvest customer data, launch phishing campaigns from trusted infrastructure, or deploy malware at scale using compromised compute resources. The 5,386 records in this dump represent 5,386 potential entry points into systems that may belong to individuals, small businesses, or enterprize organizations. The victem whose laptop was infected by the infostealer may have had no idea their cloud credentials were being vacuumed out in real time.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Infostealer malware typically lands on a device through a malicious email attachment, a pirated application, or a compromised browser extension. Once running, it operates completely silently, scanning every saved credential in the browser, capturing session tokens, and recording the API hosts and URLs associated with each login. The stolen data is bundled into a structured log file and transmitted back to the attacker. These logs are then sorted by content -- cloud logs, banking logs, gaming logs -- and distributed on Telegram as free samples or paid collections. The prdscloud 277logs naming convention indicates this batch was specifically curated for cloud-related credentials, pulled from 277 individual infected machines.
