HEROIC security analysts confirmed the QurisCloud FREE 11 breach, exposing 7,834 records on July 3, 2023. A Telegram user distributed a stealer log file containing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs harvested from compromised devices. This data has been availble to criminals for nearly three years, and victims received no notification that their credentials were stolen. The breach represents a serious ongoing risk for anyone whose account information appears in this dataset.

Why This Is Dangerous

Criminals with access to plaintext passwords and email addresses can immediately attempt unauthorized logins across banking, shopping, and cloud services. Because the log file also includes the URLs associated with each credential, attackers know exactly which services to target first, dramatically increasing the effectivness of each stolen record. Every day this data remains unaddressed is another opportunity for account takeover and identity fraud.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses: Your email address is the login and recovery method for most of your online accounts. Criminals who have it can initiate password resets and gain access to accounts you never intended to share.
  • Plaintext Passwords: These are not encrypted or hashed -- they are usable immediately. If you have ever reused this password anywhere, those accounts are at direct risk right now.
  • URLs: The service addresses captured in the breach reveal which platforms and accounts were active on infected devices, giving attackers a targeted list of high-value services to attempt acess on.

Why This Matters

Stolen credentials from breaches like QurisCloud FREE 11 are fed into automated credential stuffing tools that test username and password combinations across hundreds of websites in minutes. Attackers prioritize email accounts first, since controlling your inbox lets them reset passwords on every linked service. Once they gain access, they typically change recovery information to lock the legitimate owner out before draining accounts or committing fraud. Victims who reused the same password across multiple platforms face the greatest exposure, as a single stolen entry can unlock their entire digital presence.

How Stealer Logs Work

A stealer log is produced when malicious software silently infects a victim's device and scrapes saved browser passwords, session cookies, and stored credentials. The malware is commonly spread through fake software cracks, pirated content, or phishing emails that appear legitimate. Victims believe nothing is wrong because the infection leaves no obvious signs and triggers no security alerts on the device. The harvested data is compiled into log files and shared openly on Telegram and dark web markets, where anyone can download and exploit the stolen credentials.
