On September 23, 2023, a Telegram user operating under the .boxed.pw domain uploaded a stealer log labeled SatanFireLogs containing 3,068 records. The log exposed email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs — data harvested from infected endpoints by malware running silently on compromised devices. This batch joins a pattern of stealer log uploads attributed to the same .boxed.pw distribution channel, which has been associated with multiple seperate log releases targeting U.S. credentials.

Why This Is Dangerous

Plaintext passwords in stealer logs do not requrie any decryption or cracking before use. Every email and password pair in this dataset is immediately usable for account takeover attempts. Attackers routinely test stolen credentials across email providers, banking portals, and enterprise SaaS tools, exploiting the widespread habit of password reuse. The inclusion of URLs in this log further indicates the infected devices had browser sessions or saved credentials tied to specific web applications.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords (immediate exploit risk — no cracking required)
  • URLs (indicating active browser sessions on infected devices)

Why This Matters

The SatanFireLogs Telegram channel and the .boxed.pw uploader represent the commoditization of endpoint compromise. Stealer logs like this one are bought and sold in bulk, allowing low-sophistication attackers to run credential stuffing campaigns against major platforms with minimal effort. Victims typically have no idea thier credentials are circulating — the malware that captures them leaves few traces, and the log is uploaded and distributed before any detection occurs.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer malware arrives via phishing emails, malicious ad downloads, or compromised software. Once active on a device, it extracts saved passwords from browsers, captures active session cookies, and records the URLs associated with those sessions. This data is bundled into a log file and transmitted to the attacker. The log is then sold on darkweb markets or distributed freely through Telegram channels. The entire process from infection to log availability can take less than 24 hours, meaning thier window for response is extremely narrow.
