In April 2023, HEROIC analysts identified a combolist file called 8.7KK Streaming Private Base HQ uploaded to a Telegram channel by an anonymous user. The file contained 8,644,441 records made up of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts they belong to, almost all tied to streaming service logins.

Why This Combolist Is Dangerous

A combolist of this size turns millions of individual passwords into a single searchable list. Because each entry pairs an email with a plaintext password and the site it works on, anyone who has this file can look up a specific email address and immediately have a working login to try. At 8.6 million records, the odds that your own email is somewhere in this file are far from negligible.

What Was Exposed in the 8.7KK Streaming Leak

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the streaming accounts and services those credentials belong to

Why This Matters Even If You Do Not Use That Streaming Service

Streaming account passwords are rarely used only for streaming. People reuse the same password on email, banking, and shopping accounts far more often than they should. Attackers know this, which is why they run credential stuffing attacks: feeding stolen email and password pairs from lists like this one into automated tools that test them against hundreds of other sites. From there, account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud all become possible.

How a Combolist Like This One Gets Built

A combolist is a compiled file of email and password pairs, often stitched together from multiple smaller breaches, stealer logs, or credential stuffing attempts that succeeded. Unlike a single company's breach, a combolist can pull credentials from many different sources into one master list, which is exactly what makes files like 8.7KK Streaming Private Base HQ so large and so widely shared on Telegram.
