HEROIC discovered 1,366 records exposed in the SECRETlogs stealer log breach on February 10, 2023. This alternative-casing sibling to SECRET_LOGS landed on a public Telegram channel, exposing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the login URLs tied to each record.

Why This Stealer Log Is Dangerous

Small logs like SECRETlogs are often mistaken for low risk, but every one of the 1,366 records is a live, plaintext credential pulled from an infected endpoint. Attackers can test the entire set against hundreds of services in minutes. The public Telegram distribution strips away any barrier to access, turning every subscriber into a potential attacker.

What Was Exposed in SECRETlogs

  • Login credentials (usernames, passwords)
  • Browser cookies and session tokens
  • Autofill form data
  • Crypto wallet data (where present)
  • System fingerprints

Each record pairs an email and plaintext password with its originating URL, giving attackers a ready-made credential stuffing target list.

Why This Matters

Credential reuse is the silent multiplier. A single plaintext password from SECRETlogs can unlock email, banking, and SaaS accounts anywhere the victim reused it. Even targeted corporate accounts are at risk if the compromised device was used to log into workplace portals.

How a Stealer Log Like SECRETlogs Works

Infostealers such as RedLine, Vidar, and Raccoon are delivered through cracked software installers, malicious ads, and phishing emails. Once executed, they scrape browser-saved passwords, cookies, autofill entries, and crypto wallet files, then export a log file. Operators republish the logs on Telegram channels under rebranded names like SECRETlogs to build credibility or paywall tiers.
