HEROIC analysts identified a significant stealer log upload on December 26, 2023, posted to a public Telegram channel and labeled SEPTEMBER 24 - 703 LOGS. The dataset contained 7,515 records compiled from 703 individual log files, each generated by infostealer malware running on compromised endpoints. Every record in this collection includes an email address, a plaintext password, and an API host URL. The scale and structure of this upload suggests a deliberate aggregation of harvested credentials across multiple infected machines, and we beleive this data was actively circulated among criminal networks almost immediately after being posted.

How the SEPTEMBER 24 - 703 LOGS Breach Could Unlock Your Bank, Email, and Cloud Accounts

When an attacker has your plaintext password and your email address together, they do not stop at one account. They run that credential pair through banking apps, email providers, social media platforms, and cloud services automatically. The API host URLs in this dataset add another layer of danger: they reveal the specific services each victim was connected to, giving attackers a roadmap for targeted follow-up attacks. One leaked credential from this file could cascade into a full account takeover across every platform where you reuse that password.

What Was Exposed in the SEPTEMBER 24 - 703 LOGS Stealer Collection

  • Plaintext Passwords

Why This Leak Creates a Chain Reaction of Risk

Credential stuffing is a volume game. Attackers take thousands of email and password combinations like the ones in this file and test them across hundreds of services simultaneously. When a match is found, they log in, change recovery details, and lock the real owner out. From there, a compromised email account becomes a tool for resetting passwords on banking and investment apps. A stolen cloud credential becomes a doorway into company data. The chain reaction that starts with one plaintext password can result in financial fraud, identity theft, and business exposure, all from a single entry in a Telegram stealer log that was uploaded on Christmas Day 2023. Many victims in this dataset have likely recieved no warning whatsoever.

How Stealer Log Attacks Work

Infostealer malware infects devices silently, usually through a fake software download, a phishing email, or a malicious browser extension. Once running, it scans the device for saved passwords, session tokens, and API keys stored in browsers and applications. The collected data is packaged into structured log files and transmitted back to the attacker. Criminals then aggregate hundreds of these logs, as was the case with the 703 files in this dataset, and distribute or sell the compiled collection on Telegram. Victims rarely know their credentials were stolen until accounts start showing unauthorized activity. The data in stealer logs is almost always usable immediately because the passwords are never hashed or encrypted.
