37,685 U.S. Slurm Logs Credentials Leaked in August 10 Telegram Drop
HEROIC's DarkHive intelligence system discovered the Slurm Logs data breach, exposing 37,685 records on August 10, 2025. The third drop in the Slurm Logs August 2025 campaign, this Telegram release contained email addresses, plaintext passwords, and login URLs harvested from infostealer malware installed on U.S. user devices.
Why This Is Dangerous
The August 10 release arrived just one day after the second Slurm Logs drop of 69,344 records, maintaining rapid-fire pressure on affected users. Each of the 37,685 records contains a working plaintext credential tied to a specific website. Attackers who recieve this data immediatly begin testing it against live accounts. Because infostealer malware captures credentials at the moment of login, thier validity rate is very high compared to credentials from older database breaches.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- Login URLs
Why This Matters
The pace of the Slurm Logs campaign, three drops in four days in early August 2025, compressed the response time for affected users. Credential stuffing attacks against banking, email, and social media platforms began almost immediately after each Telegram release. Identity theft and account takeover are the primary outcomes. Users who reused passwords across multiple sites faced exposure on seperate platforms simultaneously, multiplying the damage from a single captured credential. Fraud and unauthorized account access follow quickly once credentials are confirmed valid.
How Stealer Logs Work
The infostealer distribution model involves three stages: infection, collection, and release. Malware infections spread through phishing emails and compromised software. Collection happens silently on victim devices as the malware records every login submitted: email address, password, and target URL. Release occures through Telegram, where operators post log files for free download to build channel reputation and attract buyers for premium access. Each stage is automated, and victims rarely know thier data has been compromised until accounts are found accessed.
