HEROIC's DarkHive intelligence system discovered the Slurm Logs data breach dated July 1, 2025, exposing 24,931 records. This Telegram-distributed stealer log is one of the earliest confirmed releases in the Slurm Logs campaign, showing the operation was active at the very start of July. It contains email addresses, plaintext passwords, and login URLs captured by infostealer malware from U.S. user devices.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer logs expose credentials captured live at the point of login, with no hashing or obfuscation. Each of the 24,931 records contains a working plaintext password paired with the exact site where it was entered. Attackers recieving this data can begin credential stuffing attacks against banking, email, and shopping accounts without any cracking. Thier automated tools validate accounts in bulk, often within hours of a new dataset appearing on Telegram.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Login URLs

Why This Matters

At 24,931 records, this is among the smaller releases in the Slurm Logs series, but batch size does not reduce individual risk. Credentials from this July 1 drop have been in circulation since the very start of the campaign, giving attackers the longest possible window to test, trade, and use them. Credential stuffing, identity theft, and financial fraud are the primary risks. Password reuse across seperate platforms multiplies the damage from any single captured credential pair, and users who appeared in early drops like this one are most at risk of having had their accounts compromised immediatly after publication.

How Stealer Logs Work

Infostealer malware spreads through phishing emails, malicious downloads, and compromised websites. Once silently installed on a victim device, it records every login submitted: the email address, the plaintext password, and the target URL. This data is exfiltrated to operator servers and published in batches through Telegram channels like Slurm Logs. The July 1 release shows the operation was underway at the start of the month, well before the later high-volume release cluster that drew wider attention.
