On June 21, 2025, HEROIC analysts monitoring Telegram credential channels found a stealer log bundle titled Snakes_folders 420count. An anonymous Telegram user uploaded the package, which contained 17,824 records scraped from malware-infected machines. Each record included a victim's email address, their plaintext password, and the URL where the credentials were originally entered.

Why This Snakes_folders 420count Stealer Log Is Dangerous

The story behind this dump is familiar and repeatable. A victim clicked a cracked software installer, a fake game mod, or a phishing attachment. The installer dropped information stealing malware onto the machine. Over days or weeks, it quietly harvested saved browser passwords and cookies. When the attacker had collected enough, they bundled 420 separate victim folders into Snakes_folders 420count and dropped it into a public Telegram channel, where it is now freely downloadable by anyone.

What Was Exposed in Snakes_folders 420count

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the websites tied to each credential

Why This Matters

Because the passwords are already in plaintext, there is no hash to crack. Attackers can run the credentials through automated login tools against thousands of sites in minutes. That drives credential stuffing, account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud, including wire transfers, fraudulent purchases, and tax refund theft using information pulled from compromised email inboxes.

How a Stealer Log Like Snakes_folders 420count Works

Information stealers such as RedLine, Lumma, and Vidar are sold as a service on underground forums. Buyers spread the malware through fake downloads and phishing, then collect the output. Each infected machine produces a folder containing saved passwords, session cookies, system information, and sometimes screenshots. Hundreds of these folders get zipped and shared on Telegram, often for free, as a way for threat actors to build reputation before selling fresher logs at a premium.
