In April 2023, a Telegram user uploaded a stealer log file simply labeled "534" containing 8,611 exposed records. HEROIC's DarkHive platform detected the file being shared across Telegram channels frequented by threat actors. Despite its plain numeric label, the data inside includes full email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the services where the credentials were originaly captured, making it a complete credential attack package.

Why This Is Dangerous

Unlike smaller, more targeted breaches, stealer logs with thousands of records become attractive to automated attack tools. The 8,611 accounts in Stealer Log 534 give attackers enough material to run credential stuffing campaigns across multiple platforms simultaneously. Each plaintext password in this file can be tested against dozens of services in minutes using freely available tools, no technical expertise required. The included URLs narrow the attack even further by identifying exactly which platforms each victim uses.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses tied to thousands of real active accounts
  • Plaintext passwords in clear text, with no encryption or hashing to slow attackers down
  • URLs revealing which platforms and services the victims were logged into

Why This Matters

Stealer logs shared on Telegram rarely stay confined to one channel. They get reposted, bundled into larger combolists, and redistributed across forums and private groups. The 8,611 records in Stealer Log 534 may have already been used in multiple credential stuffing campaigns since April 2023. Victims who have not changed their passwords or enabled two-factor authentication since then remain at risk today.

Stealer log data ages slowly when victims do not take action. Passwords that were valid in 2023 are often still valid in 2026, especally for accounts that do not require periodic password changes. Every day without action is another day the exposed credentials remain usable.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer malware infects devices through fake software, phishing pages, or compramised download links. The malware captures saved browser credentials, auto-filled form data, and cookies before packaging everything into a log file. Logs are then traded in underground Telegram channels, sometimes free as a way to build reputation and sometimes sold for a fee. Numeric file names like "534" are common in high-volume log trading where files are identifyed by batch or sequence number.

Because the attack happens entirely on the victim's device, the data captured is comprehensive. Every saved password from every browser profile on the infected machine becomes part of the log, meaning one infection can expose dozens of accounts at once.
