HEROIC discovered 1,064 records exposed in the Telegram Batch 8 stealer log breach on February 10, 2023. The drop carried only the label 8, placing it in a numbered series of Telegram batch uploads rather than a named operator brand. It exposed plaintext passwords alongside emails and API host URLs pulled from infected endpoints.

Why This Stealer Log Is Dangerous

A small 1,064 record batch can feel minor, but every row is a fully working credential harvested from a live machine. Attackers use tiny, targeted batches like Batch 8 for focused credential stuffing where quality matters more than volume. Plaintext passwords mean zero cracking cost, just a straight path to account takeover.

What Was Exposed in Telegram Batch 8

  • Login credentials (usernames, passwords)
  • Browser cookies and session tokens
  • Autofill form data
  • Crypto wallet data (where present)
  • System fingerprints

The file is built on plaintext email and password pairs tied to specific URLs and API host entries.

Why This Matters

Even a batch from February 2023 remains dangerous because unchanged passwords and shared reuse still succeed today. The exposed API host URLs give attackers an extra vector into backend services and integrations. Anyone who used those passwords anywhere else should assume they are compromised.

How a Stealer Log Like Telegram Batch 8 Works

Infostealer malware reaches a victim through phishing, pirated downloads, or malvertising, then extracts saved passwords, cookies, autofill, and wallet files from browsers. The haul is zipped, sent to operator infrastructure, and later dropped as numbered Telegram batches for buyers tracking sequence and freshness. Each record represents a machine that was fully compromised at the time of collection.
