In June 2026, a Telegram user uploaded a stealer log labeled "Leads spam," exposing 824 records pulled from malware-infected devices. Small as that number sounds, each record includes an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL of the site that password unlocks, everything an attacker needs to walk straight into someone's account.

Why a Small Leak Still Leads to Big Consequences

It's tempting to dismiss 824 records as minor compared to breaches that hit millions. But consequence isn't measured by the size of the list, it's measured by what happens to the people on it. If your credentials are among these 824, the outcome is the same as being in a leak of a million: an attacker with a working password and no need to guess.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the associated login pages

Why This Matters

Because the passwords sit in plaintext next to the exact login page they belong to, this list is immediately usable for credential stuffing, no cracking required. If any of these 824 people reused that password elsewhere, the consequence can cascade quickly: one login leads to email access, email access leads to password resets on banking or shopping accounts, and that leads to account takeover, identity theft, or direct financial fraud.

How This Stealer Log Ended Up on Telegram

Stealer malware infects a device through pirated software, a malicious ad, or a fake update, then quietly harvests saved passwords, autofill data, and browsing history straight from the browser. The results get bundled into a log file and shared on Telegram, sometimes for free, sometimes as a preview to build interest in a larger paid dump. The small size of this particular log doesn't reduce the risk to the people in it; it just means fewer people know to check.

Check If You Are Affected

Even a small leak can lead to a serious consequence if it includes your login. HEROIC's free breach scanner checks your email against a database of more than 400 billion leaked records, including stealer logs like this 824-record list, so you can find out now and change any exposed password before it's used against you.
