On December 26th, 2023, a Telegram threat actor uploaded a stealer log collection called "APRIL 7 - 2498 LOGS," exposing 65,102 records to the public. This is one of the larger stealer log dumps to surface on Telegram, containing plaintext passwords, email addresses, and URLs pulled directly from infected user devices. At this scale, the chances that someone you know was affected are hard to ignore.
Why This Is Dangerous
With 65,102 records in a single upload, this dataset gives attackers a substantial working list of live credentials. Because stealer logs capture passwords directly from devices rather than through database hacking, the credentials are often still active and usable at the moment of publication. There is no cracking required, no hashing to bypass, just a list of emails and plaintext passwords ready to go.

How Stealer Log Works
Stealer log attacks begin on individual user machines, not inside corporate networks. Infostealer malware, delivered through phishing campaigns, fake software, or malicious browser plugins, quietly installs itself and starts collecting anything it can find. Browser passwords, autofill data, session cookies, and saved credentials are all swept up within minutes.
The malware packages all of that into a structured log file and sends it to a server the attacker controls. From there, the logs are sorted by value and grouped into collections. Large collections like APRIL 7 - 2498 LOGS are then uploaded to Telegram, where they can be downloaded and used by a wide range of criminal actors without any technical barriers.
