HEROIC's DarkHive intelligence system discovered the TG BlackHoleCloud stealer log breach dated March 18, 2022, exposing 1,879 records. The breach occured when a Telegram user uploaded a stealer log file containing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs harvested from infected devices. The BlackHoleCloud Telegram channel distributed these stolen credentials to threat actors seeking immediate account access.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer log collections like TG BlackHoleCloud give attackers ready-to-use credentials for nearly 1,900 accounts. The URL data maps each email address to the specific websites where that password was saved, telling attackers exactly which accounts to target. Plaintext passwords require no cracking and are immediately usable for credential stuffing attacks against banking portals, email services, and corporate VPNs. Attackers who download this log can automate login attempts across hundreds of services in minutes, exploiting every reused password thier victims saved in a browser.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs

Why This Matters

Stealer log collections distributed on Telegram channels reach large audiences of threat actors quickly after upload. Each victim faces account takeover attempts from multiple actors simultaneously. Financial fraud, unauthorized access to corporate systems, and identity theft are common outcomes. For corporate accounts included in these logs, a single compromised employee credential can give attackers access to internal systems, cloud environments, and sensitive business data. Users whose credentials appear in stealer logs should treat thier devices as potentially compromised and perform complete security reviews including antivirus scans and full password resets on all affected services.

How Stealer Log Works

Infostealer malware typically enters victims' systems through malicious email attachments, pirated software, or drive-by downloads from compromised websites. Once installed, it runs silently in the background, scanning browser credential stores and extracting saved usernames, passwords, and website URLs. The captured data is packaged into log files and automatically transmitted to the attacker's command servers. Operators then share the logs on Telegram channels under names like BlackHoleCloud, making the stolen data available to any subscriber. The TG BlackHoleCloud collection was uploaded to Telegram on March 18, 2022, distributing credentials from infected Windows endpoints in the United States.
