In May 2026, HEROIC analysts tracked a stealer log file shared by an anonymous Telegram user that exposed 2,119 records. The dataset, listed simply as Mix, contains email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs gathered from victim devices through information-stealing malware. Although the record count appears modest, every entry represents a real person with actively compromised credentials.

What Attackers Can Do With Email Addresses and Plaintext Passwords

This dataset provides attackers with everything needed to attempt account takeovers immediately. Email addresses serve as usernames across most platforms, and the plaintext passwords here require no additional processing. The included URLs reveal which services each victim's credentials were stolen from, letting attackers target additional accounts those victims likely hold.

What the Mix Leak Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (sites from which credentials were captured)

Smaller Leaks Still Carry Full Account Takeover Risk

With 2,119 records, this dataset may seem minor compared to billion-record breaches, but the impact for each individual is identical. Attackers use automated tools to test these credentials across dozens of platforms simultaneously. Each victim whose password appears here faces the same risk of account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud as those in far larger leaks.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Stealer logs are produced by malware that silently infects computers and captures login credentials as victims type them or as browsers autofill them. The software records the email address, password, and the URL of every site visited. These logs are then compiled and distributed through Telegram groups and dark web forums where threat actors buy, sell, and trade access to compromised accounts.
