In June 2024, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file uploaded to a Telegram channel under the label "TOR_LOG MIX 301PCS," indicating it combined roughly 301 individual infected-device logs into one collection. The merged file contained 5,155 records of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts those credentials unlocked. Why This Is Dangerous Stealer logs come straight from malware that ran on someone's device and captured whatever was saved in their browser. Because this file mixes logs from hundreds of separate infections, it gives whoever holds it a wide spread of victims and accounts to try, each with a working password already matched to the exact site it unlocks. What Was Exposed Email addresses Plaintext passwords URLs of the accounts tied to each credential pair Why This Matters For the 5,155 records in this mix, the immediate risk is account takeover. Because the passwords are stored in plaintext and paired with real login URLs, attackers do not need to guess or crack anything. Anyone who reused one of these passwords on another account faces a much higher risk of credential stuffing, financial fraud, or identity theft. How Stealer Log Breaches Work Stealer logs are generated by malware that infects a device through pirated software, malicious downloads, or phishing links, then quietly copies saved passwords, autofill data, and browser sessions into a text file. Criminals often combine dozens or hundreds of these individual logs into a single "mix" file, as seen here, to make the collection more valuable when sold or traded on Telegram channels.
