What HEROIC Analysts Found

On August 2, 2026, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log called Trident_Cloud_2, uploaded by a Telegram user. It contains 8,522 records, each one pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the account it unlocks.

What Attackers Can Do With the Trident_Cloud_2 Data

With this file in hand, an attacker does not need to guess a single password. They can open the log, pick an email and password pair, and log directly into the account named by the matching URL. From there they can reset recovery emails, drain linked payment methods, or use the account to send convincing phishing messages to the victim's contacts, all without ever needing to hack anything else.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs identifying the account tied to each credential

Why This Matters

The 8,522 people in Trident_Cloud_2 are exposed to more than just one compromised account. Reused passwords let a single stolen login unlock email, banking, or shopping accounts too, which is how one stealer log turns into credential stuffing, account takeover, and financial fraud across multiple services.

How Stealer Logs Work

Trident_Cloud_2 is the product of infostealer malware, software that infects a device and silently copies saved browser passwords, autofill entries, and login URLs before sending them to whoever controls the malware. The result is a ready-made file, like this one, where the hard work of stealing credentials has already been done.

You can find out whether your email is part of this file without downloading it yourself. HEROIC's free breach scanner checks your address against more than 400 billion exposed records, including stealer logs like Trident_Cloud_2, and shows you right away if a password needs to change.
