HEROIC analysts flagged a stealer log file that surfaced on Telegram on August 30, 2023, containing 3,045 records associated with Trident_Cloud. The data was not extracted from a central database but scraped directly from infected endpoints by credential-harvesting malware. Each record in the dump contained an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL of the service it was tied to, giving anyone who downloaded the file a complete, sorted list of working credentials and exactly where to use them.
Why This Is Dangerous
Plaintext passwords require zero effort to exploit. There is no hash to crack, no encryption to reverse. The moment this file was posted to Telegram, 3,045 sets of credentials became immediately usable by anyone who downloaded it.
