HEROIC analysts identified the Trident_Cloud stealer log in March 2026, a file uploaded to Telegram containing 21,320 records harvested from infected devices in the United States. The exposed data includes email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the services where those credentials were originally used. Stealer logs like Trident_Cloud are typically produced by malware operations that target everyday users browsing the web, logging into work tools, or downloading software from unverified sources.

Why This Is Dangerous

The Trident_Cloud upload was shared in plain text with no encryption. That means every person who downloaded the file had immediate, no-effort access to 21,320 sets of working credentials. Each record is essentially a skeleton key, pairing the exact login address with the password used there. Attackers can load these directly into automated tools and begin testing accounts across hundreds of platforms within minutes of download.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (the sites and services where credentials were stolen)

Why This Matters

People whose credentials appear in this dataset face real and immediate risks. Credential stuffing, where attackers try stolen logins across many sites at once, is the most common first step. From there, a compramised email account can be used to reset passwords on banking, shopping, and healthcare portals. Identity theft often follows. The fact that this log comes from a recognized stealer operation means it was likely shared with a large network of criminal actors, each of whom could independently target the same victims.

How Stealer Logs Work

Infostealer malware is built to be invisible. It typically enters a device through a malicious download, a phishing page, or a compromised software installer. Once active, it silently reads every password stored in the browser, captures cookies, and logs credentials as they are typed. All of this data is sent back to the attacker's server and assembled into a structured log file. The Trident_Cloud label identifies the distribution channel, a Telegram-based operation where these logs are periodically shared with subscribers or posted publicly as a way to advertise paid services.
