A Small but Complete Stealer Log Batch Tied to Telegram Surfaces in HEROIC's Monitoring

On February 14, 2025, HEROIC analysts found a stealer log file shared by a user on Telegram under the label "Valid Mix." The dataset is small, containing 284 records, but each one pairs an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the site it was used on.

Why This Stealer Log Is Dangerous

Even though this batch is limited to 284 records, size does not determine danger. Each record includes a plaintext password, meaning it can be read and used immediately, alongside the exact email address and website URL it belongs to. For each of the 284 people affected, this is a fully working login, and there is no ambiguity about which account or site is at risk.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs identifying the site each login was used on

Why This Matters

Because the passwords are already in plaintext, they are ready-made for credential stuffing attacks, where the same email and password are tried across other websites and apps. If any of these 284 people reused their password elsewhere, one exposed login could unlock several accounts. The included URL also gives an attacker a head start on account takeover, since they know precisely where each login works.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer logs come from malware that runs quietly on an infected device, pulling saved passwords, browser autofill entries, and site URLs straight out of the browser before sending them to whoever controls the malware. Infections commonly spread through pirated software, fake installers, or malicious email attachments. Small batches like this one, labeled and shared on Telegram, are a routine part of how stolen credentials circulate before they are used or resold.

Check If You Are Affected

Even a small leak can matter if it includes your information. HEROIC's free breach scanner checks your email address against more than 400 billion leaked records, including stealer logs like this one, so you can confirm whether you were affected and take action right away.
