HEROIC found the WILD LOGS CLOUD breach on December 25, 2022. The incident exposed 7,824 records containing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs from a stealer log targeting United States accounts.

Why the WILD LOGS CLOUD Leak Is Dangerous

Stealer logs like WILD LOGS CLOUD compile credentials directly from infected devices, capturing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of each site where they were entered. With 7,824 records available to anyone accessing the Telegram channel, attackers have an immediately usable dataset for testing stolen credentials against email, banking, and e-commerce platforms. Plaintext passwords require no additional work, so account attacks can start immediatly after the file changes hands.

What Was Exposed in the WILD LOGS CLOUD Leak

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs (account login pages and API hosts)

Why This WILD LOGS CLOUD Data Puts You at Risk

Even years after the December 2022 breach, users who have not changed their passwords remain exposed to credential stuffing campaigns targeting services elswhere. Fradulent purchases, unauthorized fund transfers, and account lockouts can still occur if the same email and password combination is active on any platform. Attackers who break into an email account can also reset passwords across every linked service, extending the damage well beyond the initial breach.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Stealer log breaches begin when infostealer malware reaches a device through phishing emails, pirated software downloads, or compromised browser extensions. Once installed, the malware automaticaly captures credentials as users type them, along with associated URLs and session data. The resulting log files are bundled and published on Telegram channels and dark web forums where buyers quickly convert them into targeted account takeover attacks.
