In June 2026, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log package called Xavier_Log 177, tied to a group calling itself Xavier_Group and offered up for free on a Telegram channel. The file contained 936 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the exact website URL that login unlocks. The smaller size of this batch does not make it any less serious for the people caught inside it.

Who the Xavier_Log 177 Breach Actually Targets

Stealer logs like this one rarely target a single company or industry. Instead, they target individual people, usually whoever happened to download an infected file, whether that was a cracked game, a pirated app, or a fake software update. Anyone, regardless of job or location, can end up in a log like this.

Because the malware simply grabs whatever is saved in the browser, victims often include everyday consumers using the same passwords for banking, email, and shopping without ever realizing their machine had allready been compromised.

What Was Exposed

  • Plaintext passwords
  • Associated website URLs

Why This Matters Even for a Smaller Leak

A batch of under 1,000 records might seem minor compared to breaches that hit millions, but each record is a complete, working login. Attackers use these smaller files for credential stuffing just as readily as larger ones, feeding the pairs into automated tools that test them across dozens of sites at once.

The result can be account takeover, identity theft, or financial fraud, especially since the people targeted often have no idea their information was ever taken to begin with.

How a Group Like Xavier_Group Builds These Logs

Groups distributing stealer logs typically rely on malware spread through cracked software, phishing links, or fake downloads. Once a victim runs the infected file, the malware quietly pulls saved credentials from the browser and ships them off to the attacker's server.

From there, the group behind Xavier_Log packages the stolen data and gives it away or sells it in small batches to build a reputation among other criminals, which is exactly how a file like this one ends up freely avaliable on Telegram.
