In July 2026, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log breach known as Xavier_Log, uploaded to a Telegram channel by an anonymous user. The exposed file contained 4,530 records, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the websites those credentials belonged to.

Why This Is Dangerous

Because the passwords in this leak were stored and shared in plaintext, anyone who downloads the file can immediately try them against other accounts without needing to crack or decode anything. Paired with the URLs included in the log, an attacker has a ready-made list of exactly which website each set of credentials unlocks, making it easy to log straight into email inboxes, shopping accounts, or other services tied to the same login.

What Was Exposed in the Xavier_Log Breach

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Associated login URLs

Why This Matters

Stealer logs like this one are a favorite tool for credential stuffing attacks, where automated scripts test leaked username and password pairs across banking sites, email providers, and social media platforms. Because so many people reuse the same password across multiple accounts, a single exposed login from the Xavier_Log file can quickly escalate into full account takeover, unauthorized purchases, or identity theft.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Stealer logs are generated by malware that infects a victim's device and silently harvests saved passwords, browser autofill data, and session details straight from the browser. The malware packages everything, including the website URL tied to each credential, into a single log file. These files are commonly shared or sold on Telegram channels, exactly how the Xavier_Log data ended up circulating.
