HEROIC's DarkHive team ingested a fresh database dump from Xtream Cloud on December 1, 2024, tied to the US cloud-based IPTV streaming service at xtream.cloud. The file appeared on a public leak forum and, after deduplication against our 400B+ record index, revealed 11,416 unique users affected. The exposure includes email addresses and bcrypt password hashes, a combination that still carries risk despite bcrypt's resistance to fast offline cracking.

Why This Streaming Breach Is Dangerous

Bcrypt slows brute force, but it does not stop credential stuffing. If you reused your Xtream Cloud password on email, banking, or other streaming platforms, attackers can simply try the same email and password pair on those services without ever cracking the hash. That reuse loophole is where the real damage happens.

What Was Exposed in the Xtream Cloud Breach

  • 11,416 unique user email addresses
  • Bcrypt password hashes
  • Direct link to the xtream.cloud streaming service
  • Database dump published on a public leak forum

Why This Matters

Streaming services are high-value targets because attackers can monetize stolen accounts quickly on secondary markets and because users often reuse the same memorable password across entertainment sites. Even strong bcrypt hashes fall to weak original passwords like common phrases, birth years, or the venue name itself.

How Database Breaches Like Xtream Cloud Happen

Modern IPTV platforms rely on off-the-shelf panels that sometimes ship with default admin credentials or unpatched SQL vulnerabilities. A single exposed endpoint or a leaked staff credential can hand an attacker the full user table, which then ends up on hacking forums as a trophy or for sale.
